Marce Lee Gorman

Marce has been working in the area of forensic science since 1990 starting her career at the former Metropolitan Police Forensic Science Laboratory and the Forensic Science Service at London. Since 2001, she has been working as a Forensic Scientist at the Dublin Forensic Science Laboratory.

 

Her areas of particular interest are sexual assault BPA and DNA evidence, and the evaluation of evidence. She has given evidence in many case types on numerous occasions including scene attendance and blood pattern analysis (BPA). She has developed and delivered training courses for police officers, scenes of crime officers and forensic medical nurses.

She has co authored and published papers in the areas of sexual assault and homicide. She has contributed to the literature on informal learning and recently based her post grad MA thesis on the factors that influence learning in the context of a forensic science organisation.
