Identity Documents

The forensic examination of identity documents is an important discipline requiring a great deal of working knowledge about the way in which genuine documents, especially passports but also other identity documents, are produced and how they can be counterfeited and altered.  There are no formal qualifications for this, with practitioners learning from colleagues in what is essentially an apprenticeship.

The Forensic Science Society is pleased to give practitioners the opportunity to obtain the new diploma which offers them a way of demonstrating their knowledge and skills and obtaining recognition of the standard reached within the postnominals FSSocDip.
